
Israel Alter, M.D.
Dr. Alter completed his undergraduate education at George Washington University in 1975. In 1980 he received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. Dr. Alter currently is a member of the following professional societies: American Medical Association, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Med Chi, and the Montgomery County Medical Society.
Jacqueline Apgar, M.D.
Dr. Apgar completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California at Santa Barbara. She received her medical degree from Penn State University College of Medicine. She completed her residency at Baystate Medical Center / Tufts University. Dr. Apgar is a member of the American Medical Association.
Iralia Georgiou, M.D.
Dr. Iralia Georgiou graduated with honors from The Johns Hopkins University with a bachelors of arts in Behavioral Health, and an additional minor in Women, Gender & Sexuality. She attended The George Washington University School of Medicine where she earned her medical doctorate (M.D.).
Elizabeth Krinn, M.D.
Dr. Krinn completed her undergraduate degree at Cornell University in 1993. She received her medical degree from New Jersey Medical School and completed her residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City in 2001.
Diane A. Laurin, M.D.
Dr. Diane Laurin received her undergraduate degree in Medical Sociology from the University of Michigan and her Doctor of Medicine degree from Michigan State University. She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center and subsequently began practicing as a board certified Ob/ Gyn with Capital Women’s Care.
Richard Margolis, M.D.
Dr. Margolis completed his undergraduate education in 1965. In 1969 he received his medical degree from George Washigton University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the County Medical Society.
Edward Wolfgram, M.D.
Dr. Wolfgram completed his undergraduate education at Marymount University in 1981, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In 1985 he received his medical degree from University of Health Sciences, Chicago Medical School. He completed his residency at Georgetown University Hospital in 1989.
Abby Wurzel, CRNP
Abby is a family nurse practitioner with clinical experience in women’s health. She is a former labor and delivery nurse and clinical instructor for maternal-child health. Abby holds a Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioning from Hawaii Pacific University. She is very passionate about providing her patients with evidence-based research to help them make informed decisions. In her spare time, Abby enjoys reading, crafting, and spending time with her family.
Hannah Sherry, CNM
Hannah is thrilled to join Capital Women's Care as of August of 2024. Hannah completed her Bachelor of Arts in Public Health at the University of Rochester and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania. She has practiced for 6 years prior to joining CWC in both Boston, MA and Rochester, NY.
